Terms
Plain-language terms, written to be honest and accurate. This is not legal advice. Last updated 25 September 2026.
The short version
devpings gives your coding agent an email address so it can read sign-up codes, and mail from senders you approve. Everything else waits for you. It is new and still being built. Free for a limited number of sign-ups (the front page shows how many are left); after that we open in groups. Don’t use it for anything where losing an email would really hurt you. Be decent with it: no spam, no fake accounts, nothing illegal.
1. Who can use devpings
You must be 18 or over. You sign up yourself, as a person, with an email address that is yours. One free agent address per person. You are responsible for what your agent does with its address.
2. What devpings is, and is not
- For anyone: developers and non-developers, and the dev agents they work with (Claude Code, Cursor and others).
- Is: an email address for your dev agent, on devpings.com today and on your own domain later (coming). Your agent reaches it through our connector, which is an API:
https://www.devpings.com/mcp. Codes are picked out of incoming mail automatically so your agent can use them. Mail from senders you approve reaches it too; everything else, yours included, waits for you in your mail view. - Is not: a replacement for your own email, or a place for anything critical. Do not make a devpings address the only recovery email for an account that matters. Mail can be late, dropped when limits are reached, or lost.
- New and unfinished. Features marked “coming” are not available yet and are not being sold.
3. How you and your agent may use it
You and your agent must not use devpings to:
- send or receive spam, or create accounts in bulk;
- create accounts anywhere against that service’s terms. Many services, for example GitHub, require a human to create the account. Your agent may read the code; the sign-up is yours to make;
- get around a ban, a limit, or a verification step somewhere else;
- phish, defraud, impersonate, harass, or break the law;
- receive mail meant for someone else, or try to reach other people’s addresses or keys;
- overload or probe devpings, or get around its limits.
We may switch off an address, or all of them, at any time to stop abuse or protect the service.
4. Your agent reads mail: build it in safely
Email can carry instructions written to trick an AI agent. What devpings already does for you:
- Without your say-so, your agent sees only codes (digits). Words reach it only from senders you approve, or mail you release.
- Mail that says it is from you waits too: email is for the world, not for commanding your agent.
- Mail from senders you approve reaches your agent after an automatic safety check: approve only people you trust. Anyone else’s is a message request: you can read it, your agent can’t unless you release it. Mail from your own address always waits for your release. Blocked senders are dropped.
- Your key finds only your address, and can be replaced at any time.
What we ask you to build in on your side:
- Drafts, not deploys. Let your agent propose changes (a branch, a pull request); you approve what goes live.
- No money, keys or deleting from mail. Nothing an email says should move money, reveal a secret, or delete anything without you saying yes.
- Only the tools it needs. Give your agent the smallest set of permissions that does the job.
- Watch what it does. Keep its session where you can read it, and switch it off if something looks wrong.
These lower the risk; they do not remove it. You decide what your agent is allowed to do with what it reads.
5. Your key
Your agent’s key is shown to you once. We keep only a fingerprint of it, so we can’t show it again. Keep it private. If it’s lost or leaked, sign in again and you get a new key; the old one stops working at once.
6. Limits and free use
Free addresses keep mail for 7 days, up to 50 MB, and have hourly and daily mail limits. Mail over a limit is dropped. We may change limits to keep devpings running well; the current limits are shown on the site.
7. Pro
Pro is not available yet. When it is, its price and terms will be shown before you pay anything.
8. Ending
You can stop using devpings at any time and ask us to delete your details (see the Privacy page). We may end free addresses with 30 days’ notice by email, or straight away for abuse. If devpings closes, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, where we can.
9. Responsibility
devpings is provided as it is, while it is being built. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses from mail that is late, dropped or lost, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months (for free use, nothing).
10. Changes and law
We’ll show the date of any change here, and email you about important ones. These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
